How To Cook BBQ Beef Ribs

BBQ beef ribs are cooked differently from ordinary BBQ ribs. They are tough and large and they will need to be braised first a few days before you finally grill them. If you want to know how to cook BBQ beef ribs, read on:

Items and Ingredients You Will Need For Making BBQ Beef Ribs:

Barbecue sauce

Beer

Beef ribs

Vegetable oil

Salt and pepper

Water

Grill utensils

Roasting pans

Foil

Skillets

Follow the steps below on how to cook BBQ beef ribs:

Step 1: In a large roasting pan, mix the beer and barbecue sauce. Make sure all the ribs can fit in the roasting pan in one layer. Before you add the ribs, bring your BBQ sauce and beer mixture to a simmer, then remove it from the stove or gas range.

Step 2: Preheat your oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit while preparing your ribs.

Step 3: Season the beef ribs with salt and pepper.

Step 4: Rub your skillet with vegetable oil then place it on high heat.

Step 5: When your pan is hot, place the ribs in it and brown both both sides are until brown. Place the ribs in the roasting pan in a single layer then add water that could cover the ribs barely.

Step 6: Cover the roasting pan well with foil and bake the ribs for 3 to 5 hours. Check the beef ribs occasionally. The slower and longer they cook, the better and more tender they will be. Just make sure you don’t cook them too long as the meat will come off the bones.

Step 7: When the meat offers a bit of resistance when you try to pull it off from the bone, the beef ribs are already cooked. Remove them from the pan and allow them to cool down. Store the beef ribs in the fridge.

Step 8: Store the ribs in the refrigerator for up to three days. This will make the meat more tender without making the meat fall off the bones.

Step 9: After three days, you are ready to grill the beef ribs. Heat your grill under low-medium fire and place the ribs on the grill one at a time. Remember that you are only actually reheating the ribs since they are already cooked.

Step 10: While cooking your BBQ beef ribs, baste each side with barbecue sauce or cooking liquid until they are heated through.

Tips for Barbecue Pork Ribs

For super-spicy barbecue pork ribs, rub the spices directly onto the pork ribs.

Remember to be extra safe when you are using matches and lighter fluid.

Conventional charcoal briquettes might have unhealthy chemicals in them like binding agents and you don’t want that in your food. Consider natural wood charcoal as an alternative. It is made from natural baked wood carbons that are left over.

Try adding some smoky wood flavor to the meat by putting wood chips on top of the coals. You can try all the different ones such as: apple, birch, cherry, hickory woods and mesquite. Be sure that you never use any type of processed wood, such as plywood, because they could contain toxic chemicals.

Because, a sudden flame can shoot up and burn the barbecue pork ribs, make sure to leave plenty of room on the grill in case you have to move the food out of the way of the flames.

Since charcoal grills are subject to a lot of stress from heat, because charcoal gets very hot, the grill’s bottom part may wear out. To slow down this effect, put a layer of sand underneath the charcoal. The sand will help absorb some of the heat.

There are so many recipes for barbecue pork ribs, you will certainly be able to find one that you will really enjoy.

A Brief History of Weber Grills

Weber grills (gas and charcoal) are the main products manufactured and marketed by Weber-Stephen Products Co., a family-owned business headquartered in Palatine, Illinois. Though the company was established in 1893, it was only in 1952 when the Weber grills became known. Since then, Weber grills have been widely recognized as high-end grills not only in the United States but also in many other countries around the world.

How Did The Brand Weber Grills Become So Popular?

It was in 1952 when George Stephen, Sr., frustrated with the uncontrollable and uneven flame of open brazier at his home, decided to build a much better grill that comes with a lid to allow him to grill outdoors regardless of the weather condition. Stephen worked at the Weber Brothers Metal Works, a custom-order metal sheet shop that produced half-spheres used to make buoys. He used his metal works experience to create a dome-shaped barbecue grill with rounded lid. This marked the birth of the original Weber kettle grill. This grill was called by George’s neighbors as the ‘Sputnik’ but George called it as the George’s Barbecue Kettle. This was such in a hot demand that he couldn’t help but create other Weber grills.

Made in America - Charcoal Weber Grills

It was also in 1952 when George formed the barbecue grill division of Web Brothers Metal Works and decided to buy it in the late 1950′s. He devoted all his professional time to manufacturing Weber grills and selling them. Soon thereafter, the company’s name was changed to Weber-Stephen Products Co. The company’s reputation grew from Illinois to the Midwest as it became known nationally with Weber grills being sold and distributed in retail stores throughout the United States. Weber grills were so entrenched that the term “Weber” became exclusive for barbecue grill.

In 1989, Weber-Stephen Products Co. opened up its first grill restaurant in Wheeling, Illinois which was later branched out in three more locations: Lombard, Illinois, Downtown Chicago, and Schaumburg, Illinois. In 2007, another branch of Weber Grill Restaurant was opened in Indianapolis. The quality barbecue and grilled meals cooked using the Weber grills in the Weber restaurants seemed to have convinced homeowners to have their own set of Weber grills in their home.

3 sprigs of rosemary

1 garlic clove (minced)

Here are the directions to follow:
